Am I able to keep using my old safety rules?

Yes. If the rules you're currently using work for you, keep them — the new rules run alongside, not instead of. We'd still encourage trying the new ones for fewer false positives.

Can the new rules be modified?

No — they're standardized rules that can't be hand-tuned. That's intentional: it's what removes the guesswork of setting G-force thresholds per vehicle.

Are these the same as the GO Focus Plus camera events?

Related, not identical. GO Focus Plus generates its own events shown in MyGeotab; these are the blended rules behind the newer GO Focus coaching workflow.

Will turning this on flag every minor bump?

That's the point of the upgrade — events are auto-calibrated by vehicle class and route context, specifically to cut the false positives that make coaching feel like nagging.
